Goole maps is a great way for students to explore other places around the world. Google maps is easy to use. I have it on my iPhone. Great for seeing places that are in line with social studies lessons or geography.
Hangman is a fun vocabulary game for students. This game can excite students into learning more words sor that that can a better chance of beating the game. The more words you know, the better chance you have at winning.
The students loved working with the iTouches I had in the library last year. I have loaded over 60 free apps (including the two you mentioned) and I've picked up ideas for other apps to add from reading peoples' Blogs. There are so many educational apps out there, the opportunities for "fun-fillled" learning are endless. You're going to love having them in the gym for your kids!
