1. What are your thoughts about building an online education community and participating in a PLN?
Participating in a PLN is a great way to expand a teacher's learning and skills. As a health fitness teacher, most of my learning or ideas come from conventions or meetings were we physically gather at a place. I never really thought that we could just share and learn through a blog or PLN. Also we can keep these ideas on our computers and don't have to try to remember how an activity is done. we can assess it anytime and even share with others how it went and how we may have changed it for our class.
2. What point stood out to you from the commenting advice?
The one part that did stand out to me was to be humble and gracious. Blogs are there to open disscusion and seek ideas, not to let everyone know how smart you think you are on a subject. Also it;s important to ask questions as a way to get the dicussion going and as a way to invite people to comment.
